Fieldwork Brewing - Monterey

American Light Pilsner / 4.2% ABV - Notes of citrus blossoms, wild rose, cedar bark, lemon balm, biscuit crackers, brazil nut, and corn pops.

German Pilsner / 5.3% ABV - While fresh and lively, this beer has a distinct noble hop aroma and moderate bitterness to balance out the perceived sweet notes from the German Pilsner malt. In the case of Timing & Structure we use a restrained amount of noble hops to kick up notes of fresh cut grass, orange blossom, and birch bark; dancing in perfect harmony with mild honey, hazelnut, and bready notes from the German Pilsner malt.

Westcoast Lager / 5.2% ABV - Fieldwork collaborated not with the region, but with an outdoor brand named Patagonia from Ventura, to create a 100% organic Westcoast Lager, reflecting our shared passion for the outdoors, environment, agriculture, and sustainability. This Lager is brewed with Idaho-grown organic Pilsner malt, a selection of organic specialty malts, and Kernza, an organic perennial wheatgrass that lends a subtle complexity akin to red wheat malt. The addition of organic HBC586 and Idaho7 hops makes this one of the most delectable all-organic Westcoast Lagers brewed in Berkeley in partnership with an outdoor recreation apparel company. Westcoast Pilsner / 5.6% ABV - Notes of tangerine blossom, pink grapefruit wedges, ripe peaches, yuzu, orange starburst, and Five Alive juice. [contains: Barley, Hops, Water, and Yeast]

Gose / 4.8% ABV - Brewed with massive quantities of fresh watermelon and just the right amount of French grey sea salt [hops: Belma]

Tropical Sour Ale / 5.2% ABV - From atop our brewery's roof, if the sun shines hard enough to burn away the bay's semi-permanent blanket of fog, we are gifted beautiful views of sailboats dancing across the San Francisco Bay. Daydreams of what it's like to be on one of those boats float through our heads as sweat from the brew day drips to the ground. All the perfect people are relaxing starboard side and enjoying their brightly colored tiki drinks and listening to their fancy Spotify Premium, while footed on solid ground we'll soon be alleviating the heat with some Fog Ripper and unnecessarily loud in app ads. Inspired by a blend of various tiki drinks, most notably the Zombie, Fog Ripper is sour to the point of mouth puckering delight and packed to the gills with notes of passion fruit, red sour cherries, oranges, and limes; resulting in an over the top fruity Catamaran of a sour beer that sails across your palate leaving only tart and juicy greatness in its wake

Belgian Pale Ale / 5.8% ABV - Our take on a true classic, Olyvia is simple but void of any cut corners. Its ingredient list is simple; the best Pale Ale malt Belgium has to offer, a light dusting of two of the most classic European noble hops ever, and our favorite Trappist yeast to produce notes of pear, apple, banana, cherry, plum, lemon, and hints of pepper and biscuit. While often playing second fiddle to the more popular Belgian Golden Strong Pale Ales, the simple Belgian Pale Ale is maybe one of the greatest styles of beer in history; popping off all of the same esters and flavors that Belgium made famous but more sessionable.

*Belgian Tripel / 9.5% ABV - Dry and crushable while also remaining complex and loaded with alcohol. Simple floral aromas trace this beer start to finish.

IPA / 6.9% ABV - Juicy IPA with a lean and simple malt profile, medium body and all Citra hops to make it the orange juice of beers [hops: Citra]

IPA / 6.9% / Collaboration with 21st Amendment - Notes of fresh watermelon juice, sweet orange zest, tangerine wedges, hand-squeezed lemonade, and passion fruit jellies. [contains: Citra hops and Watermelon]

IPA / 7.0% ABV - Notes of strawberry astronaut ice cream, passionfruit curd, fresh smashed raspberries, riesling grapes, sugared grapefruit wedges, mango puree, lime zest, papaya, and the stickiest of the ickiest weed. [hops: Strata]

Double IPA / 8.0% ABV - Easy drinking juice bomb that is loaded with notes of passionfruit, ripe melon, grapefruit, sauv blanc grapes, and blueberries. [hops: Mosaic]

DDH Double IPA / 9.5% ABV - Big juice bomb with notes of orange sherbet, peach juice, blueberries, honeydew melon, and passionfruit [hops: Citra, Mosaic, Southern Passion, Southern Star]

Double Oat Stout / 8.0% ABV - Notes of steel cut oats, burnt toffee, dark chocolate, fresh roasted coffee chaff, sweet bready malts, toasted wood, 3 Musketeers nougat, cedar chips and bourbon fudge. [hops: Barley, Oats, Hops, Water, and Yeast]

Brett Westcoast IPA / 6.7% ABV - Brewed with Simcoe and Krush hops, and fermented with 5 different strains of Brettanomyces yeast, Douglas brings a distinct wild and funky character to the classic Westcoast IPA style. Expect layers of pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, guava, yuzu, white grapefruit, and an explosion of brett-derived horse blanket and funk; all balanced by a crisp, dry finish.

Remember about 15 years ago when breweries regularly made robust Stouts, Barleywines, and a handful of other imperialized styles without crazy ingredients? Nowadays they've gone the way of the buffalo and can hardly be found. Not ones to be fazed by passing trends, we're proudly resurrecting that grand tradition with our new Way Back Series. In the coming months, prepare yourself for the arrival of a series of high-ABV beers in all of their unappreciated glory, each presented in the timeless elegance of a 500ml bottle. Wee Heavy / 11.0% ABV - Wrapt in a Warm Flannel is more Scottish than a headbutt on a rainy day; this lightly peated Scotch Ale uses a blend of malts from Scotland and England along with a long boil to create a mildly smoky mass of malty complexity.
